Emergent

PROJECT

Material shelters for people on the move

ROLE

Concept Building | Research & Development | Product Making

PROBLEM

Preparedness is often treated as a separate activity rather than something embedded in everyday life. Most clothing is designed for a single purpose and offers little support in moments of crisis, leaving people without adaptable resources when sudden movement, shelter, or survival needs arise.

BRIEF

How might we leverage fabric, structure, and form to transform everyday garments into multifunctional systems that support mobility, resilience, and preparedness in times of change and disruption?
